Refunds, cancellations, and deposits
This policy applies to paid dossier-review engagements, spot checks, clarification reviews, and advisor retainers described on this site.
Eligibility
Refunds apply to fees paid directly to LedgerScope Application Audit for engagements that are cancelled or resized according to the conditions below. Informational fee tables on the website are not purchases.
Timeframe to request
Send refund or cancellation requests in writing to [email protected] within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, cancellation notice or delivery of a memo you believe is incomplete against the engagement letter).
Full refund conditions
A full refund of amounts paid is available when:
- We cancel the engagement for capacity reasons before desk review begins
- You cancel in writing before we confirm that the material gate is passed and review has started
- We fail to deliver the agreed written findings within the timeline stated in the engagement letter for reasons solely within our control, and you elect to cancel rather than accept a revised date
Partial refund conditions
Partial refunds may apply when:
- The pack is materially smaller than scoped and unused review days remain after delivery
- A retainer month includes documented under-delivery of reserved hours caused by us
- You cancel after review has started; fees for hours already worked and a scheduling charge of up to 20% of the engagement fee may be retained
Non-refundable items
- Complimentary scoping calls
- Rush surcharges once the rush window has been reserved and work begun
- Third-party costs you authorized in writing (for example, certified courier of binders)
- Hours consumed under a retainer, including overage hours already delivered
Deposits
Full dossier audits require a 40% deposit. The deposit is credited to the final invoice. If you cancel after the material gate confirmation, the deposit may be retained in whole or part to cover reserved reviewer time, as stated in the engagement letter.
No-shows and missed calls
If you miss a scheduled clarification call without twenty-four hours’ notice, we may deduct one hour at the published add-on rate from any refund calculation or invoice it separately. We will offer one reschedule within five business days.
Work already started
Once dual-read review has begun on your files, fees reflect work performed even if you later decide not to submit the application. You still receive any findings drafted to that point.
Purchased materials
We do not sell physical products or pre-packaged kits. Printed binders you supply remain yours and are returned or destroyed per the engagement letter; no product refund category applies.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule a reserved review window once without penalty if you give at least five business days’ notice and the new window falls within thirty days. Further reschedules may require a new estimate.
Refund process and timing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen business days after written approval. Bank transfer refunds may require additional account details from you.
Cancellation by either party
Either party may cancel for material breach after written notice and a short cure period stated in the engagement letter. Sections on confidentiality and liability survive cancellation.
Exceptions
Statutory rights under Taiwanese law that cannot be waived remain available. This page does not cover goods, subscriptions, or delivery models we do not offer.
